Our purpose at The Duston School is simple: we seek to provide every opportunity for the young people here to learn, achieve and succeed and develop into well-rounded and capable individuals. To support our focus on improving teaching and learning we have introduced a number of unique opportunities to instil enthusiasm, excitement and energy into the learning here. This includes some innovative appointments of Professionals in Residence including a Chef, Actor Dancer and Artist who are all working in the classrooms with students, as well as a partnership with Houston University in Texas on CMCD or Consistency Management and Co-operative Discipline as part of a three year programme. This aims to train our staff to teach in inspirational and exemplary ways, and puts the student at the heart of learning.
